Hey .. I ordered some of those sosche 6x9 to 6.5 universal adapters from crutchfield. The things look cheap as hell and I'd have to make modifications to them for the speaker basket of my quarts to fit so I'm going to scratch that idea and build some.
I only have about 3/4 inch to work with, so I can't do 3/4 inch MDF. Also, I hear that if MDF gets wet (its for my front doors) it turns to slosh. Does anyone have an opinion about the BEST way to build and mount a speaker bracket for a pair of components in the door? (not permanently altering the door) Anyone have a bookmark just perfect for me? Thanks a bunch!,

I'll be running a the mb quart pce 216 series in the front door 6x9 locations of a chrysler sebring 2001 sedan powered by an xtant a4004t amp bi-amping the channels. I'm already planning on using dampening mat on the doors and was considering using those xtc baffles cut out as to not restrict air flow.
