does high BL=more SPL or SQ

I know when you wire a sub in series the BL doubles in which the subwoofer have more control over the cone,right. now why do spl competers do it? do they get higher numbers?

BL Magnetic Induction crossed with wire length in the airgap. (crossing = cross product, a mathematical vector-operation)

In short BL is the strenth if the motor assembly. Measured in TM.
