im looking to buy a head unit and im seeing that some cd players have 2v pre outs and some have 4v what would the benifits be of 4v. would i need it to push 1200watts? i want the pioneer deh-760 but its only 2v and i dont know if that matters or not ... thanks

the pre-out voltage helps the amp in it's reproduction of the signal. the stronger the input signal the less likely the amp will be driven into clipping as the gains won't need to be set as high.

if ya can, get the 4 volt preout...ur amp will love ya for it!!

as a side note, the h/u u want(with the 2 volt outs) will work, ur gains will need to be adjusted accordingly.....but the 4 volt will be better

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
