Distro block needed?

if you only nrunning one amp you wont need a distro. if you are, then you would need one. i recommend 4awg from battery to distro, and 8awg to each amp.

a wire directly between your battery and your amp (slap a fuse between it as well)... theres all sorts of stuff you can put between it (fuse blocks... capacitors) but thas all you need

how bigs the amp (i dunno off hand) thats what really matters.

if your looking at expanding your system further down the road, run at least 4 gauge wire to the back of the trunk, that way when your ready, you wont have to run any new power wire. hmm.. wireing kits... well i wouldnt suggest going to radio shack (or anyother retail place for that matter) because you'll pay an arm and a leg for stuff.. look on the internet (http://www.sounddomain.com) is your best bet.

if you only need a 4 ga. amp wire. Then go to walmart and pick up one of thier wiring kits. They are great for 25 bucks. Includes fuse and holder for 4 ga. wire. RCA's, distro block if you need it, ground wire, remote wire, and all the ends you need. I use these kits for all the installs i do for people. Work really well and can't beat the price anywhere along with the quality. They are made by efx owned by scoshe or something like that, so they are no a no name brand.
