so i disclocated my elbow yesterday and the **** still hurting pretty bad.. had my sister whos a nurse check it out she says it seems fine but i can barely move my left arm. anybody else ever done this and how long did your elbow hurt and how long did it stay swollen and black/blue? i had to take last 2 days off of work cause of it but tomorrow i am leaving for out of town to start a new job for one of our big accounts and i wanna know how long i will have to suffer working with it i suppose.

I often take outpatient advice from a nurse and a surgeon as well. When my car is broken I also ask the meter maids for mechanical advice.
lol... yeah crazy to think they know what they are talkin about eh? hes just a surgeon that went to school for medicine for like 12 years and shes only an ER nurse for past 10 years... kinda stupid to even ask them i can see your comparison...oh wait... i dont get what the ur saying at all.. they are the same people who work where id be going if i went to hospital...

I'm sure the medical care you have received was fine.

Dislocations can take months to fully heal, no ****.

If you go to the hospital for a dislocated joint, you're a fucking muppet. That's what the outpatient services is for. God damn, people complain about healthcare being out of control when their the ones that don't even know how to use it.
And ^this

dis located my shoulder a few times playing ball in high school... not much you can do, but just sling it, take it easy on it, and let it heal for a few days... i will say this though... once you dis locate it once, doing it again doesn't take nearly as much. but i would say it will hurt for atleast a week, maybe 2. you could go to a doc, and he might give you some nice happy pills to help with the pain
