Direct Connection to Battery????

Needs help here .... how to power the Alpine headunit to 12v car battery ... there are three wire to be connected .... yellow (power), black (ground) and red (ignition) .... which one needs to be connected to +ve or -ve terminal?????

First what type of car do you own. Second on the original radio wiring there should have been a ground, Mem back up and also a main power (easiest way to tell is get a test light and check every one with the ignition off. If you can let me know what type of car it is i can tell you exactly what color the wires are and which ones go to the main power (yellow connects to the main power which is the direct feed from the bat.)
