I asked or read something like this before but never really got indepth with it. Is is possible to run a 2 chamber box with a 10" in one chamber and a 12" in the other without it sounding like crap. I've never done it yet but I was told they cancel out eachother somehow and sound like crap. If they do cancel eachother out or have frequency clashes, is it possible to face them different ways or anything like that?

thanks

The cancellation is a product of the different group delays for the different speakers. Unless they responded exactly the same to a signal fed to them (and they won't, no two speakers will but at least with the same brand, size and model you will get as close as possible) there will be cancellation.

Let's say you are running a 10 and 12(same brand, model, everthing except size) in parallel to one channel. Wouldn't they be getting the same signal, thus having the same group delays......wait, you said," respond the same" meaning basically hitting the same at the same frequencies? And since 12s hit harder that 10s, that means that they are hitting at DIFFERENT frequencies????

Did I get it?

thanks
