Defective Amp or Common Problem?!?!?

i just purchased an Alpine MRV-1507 amp. When i hooked it up, i noticed that the protection light was blinking red, indicating abnormal circuit as stated on the owner's manual. The amp works and seems to push 2 12" Alpine Type-R subs well. i asked a tech. at tweeters and he stated that's a common problem with all the MRV-1507 amps he encountered. Has anyone else experienced this problem with the MRV-1507????

A RCA ground float means that your RCA'a are not grounded which means your prolly useing a stock radio with the mod that hookes to your speakers in order to make RCA outputs for your amp just give it a better ground or just a ground in general and you should be all set ive had this problem twice and looked everywhere for a problem and it was just my ground came unhooked or when i hooked it up i forgot to connect the ground
