My DC Audio Level 2 8" sub is being delivered today. Not sure what size box to go with. WinISD wont save the driver data for me.

Regardless goal is SQ. Its a D2 sub so it will probably be seeing about 200wrms@2 bridged on my Twister F6. Pretty sure I want to go ported with this one.

Anyone have any recommendations on a box for this?

It also used to say 4.5 for SPL for the DC Audio Level 4 15" and it was the most musical box out of the 3 they recommended. Recommendations cant be trusted.
touche sir. i should've known better than to go off that. if i went to the competition today i could as a couple dc reps as to what they would suggest. but i decided to come to work instead lol

.6 sealed vs. 1 cube ported @ 30...Maybe it's just a bad model but the ported seems to be almost perfect for a pretty flat response while still retaining low end. Sealed has a pretty steady roll off from about 50hz downwards. Idk what kind of sound you like from your sub but if I were you I would do ported just so you have the low end at your disposal. You may even consider doing .8 sealed since you aren't running much power.

Vented is the way to go unless you have gobs of power to throw at a sealed application. My Twister F6 is not gobs of power. It is rated for 160@4 bridged, not sure what it is rated at 2ohms bridged mono. I assume its probably limited somehow internally.

Try not tuning it that low. Maybe 38 or so
I wont tune any higher than say 34Hz. I want the low end extension and efficiency since I dont have much power to toss at it.

Anywhere from 25-35 models up great. The nice thing about using 8's is you can tune low and still hit highs and mid bass just fine. Depending on how low your mids go down to you might even be safe with something as low as 27-28.
