Dampeners

Ok, quick question on the subject of dampening systems. I first off would love to get dynamat, but is expensive! My question is this: My friend swears by acoustic undercoating, and spraying that on your panes/doors... etc. Now, this does not exactly sound right to me, and the peel and stick dynamat like brands seem to make more sense! What's goin to be better here?

Liquid sound deadeners are better then the stick on sound deadeners. Dynamat is a great prouduct... but there are other stick on dampeners such as Brown Bread, Second Skin and B-Quiet that are cheaper and are just as good if not better then Dynamat. Liquid sound deadeners are easier to put on, just spray it on or paint it on with a brush, and they work better. B-Quiet has a good liquid sound deadener, so does Cascade. With Cascade you can get it in a spray can or by the gallon, I like it the best out of the ones I used so far. I'll list some links to Cascade VB-1 so you can get some ideas. If you want to find Brown Bread try ebay, and if you want some Second Skin contact ifandorbuts on this forum.
