Current events discussion

Would you agree that no matter what anyone thinks, feels, believes, opines, wishes, hopes, desires, the decisions of the SCOTUS remain in effect and have not been overturned? That those decisions get followed (like Roe v Wade was) until the decision is overturned?
Have I ever said the SCOTUS shouldn't be followed?
Or, do you think that peoples' feelings, beliefs, opinions, wishes, hopes, desires, are what create the reality?
Again have I ever made this claim?
Interesting that you think I need to back off on proving myself right when stuff is debated here, but seem to have no problem with Thxone wanting to "fight to the death" (a metaphor, though he has actually offered violence more than once) to claim he is right, even in the face of indefatigable proof that he is wrong.
Do you read my posts? I specifically said why I think your should back off your endless crusade to be right. When you feel you need to prove we are really using "Sleepy Joe" literally when we tell you "No Rob, we weren't being literal" demonstrates your disconnect from reality & societal norms.

It's part of the discussion.
You are suggesting we not follow the COTUS, and that your belief is that the SCOTUS is wrong when they say illegal immigrants are "persons".
Again have I ever made this claim?
You suggested we drop COTUS protections of the rights of certain persons, and that the SCOTUS did not interpret the COTUS correctly.

"We aren't being literal", when Trump himself made the statement about "“a sleepy guy in the basement of a house”.

It's only Wiki, but no one has offered any other suggestions: "Coined by American current president Donald Trump in 2019, likely in reference to a series of videos where Biden appears to occasionally fall asleep during important meetings and television interviews."
So he coined it regarding Biden appearing to fall asleep, but he really meant something else altogether.

I guess it's like "in" not meaning "in".

And there are plenty of references out there about how the nickname has backfired since Trump started falling asleep at multiple public events, including his own court hearings.
“Don Snoreleone.” “Donnie Nappleseed.” “Sleepy Don.”

Absolutely. We've ignored that border for decades. BidenCo actively tried to break the system.
While simultaneously blowing Trump out of the water (another metaphor; Trump is not a battleship) in numbers of deportations:

It's kind of like how the people who describe Joe as completely inept and incapable were also describing him as a criminal mastermind in all the "crimes" he pulled off as POTUS.

I see you're doing what Rob does and fabricate what someone says in order to argue...

Ok, so you agree that it was wrong for Trump to pardon all the January 6th rioters? It's okay to admit it. Especially when some of those people were let off the hook for even more disturbing crimes....like Kyle Colton....who was charged with child ***********. Off the hook due to Trump. Maybe not so much of a surprise considering Trump's ties to Epstein.

About the piece and peace. Most would move right past that. My way of looking into your brain... (metaphorically) speaking. My dad also has a brain but chooses to be brainwashed by CNN and MSNBC. I see him watching them constantly and he parrots the same things most liberals do.

You didn't "move right past" when your smooth brain was convinced that I was wrong in how I presented that idiom....even though you were wrong. lol. It's the dunning-kruger effect.....over and over again. No matter how incorrect you are....it won't stop you from spewing idiocy without even bothering to do the minimal amount of investigation. The dumbing down of America in action. This is how we ended up with Diaper Don again.

By that logic are you also declaring Bass, Walz, Newsome, et al criminals for letting rioters riot?

If we agree rioting is bad, should National Guard units be deployed to stop the inevitable rioting that will occur during the not peaceful protests this weekend? Should progressive leadership distance itself from the protests this weekend and should they do so ahead of the inevitable riots? Should they condemn narratives like saying "King" & "Dictator."

Not the same thing. If Bass, Walz, Newsome, etc....went ahead and pardoned any rioters who were arrested and charged.....you'd have a point.

Protesting is one of the few things that people can realistically do to be heard when they believe their rights are being trampled. The vast majority aren't committing violent acts, vandalism, or looting. And why would they condemn any of the narratives? Trump is acting like dictator. Hell.....he's throwing himself a North Korean style military parade despite the fact that it could cost upwards of $50 million. All while cutting programs and benefits to poor Americans under the guise of "waste".

I honestly don't care about that crap while a city is burning...and we can run through EVERY President's pardons to get worked up...again I don't care about political noise when actual people's lives are being disrupted by rioters

I really don't understand what's so complicated about my stance on things when it's really fckn simple...

You care about these protests because they are protesting Dementia Don. But you can't bring yourself to condemn the pardoning of the January 6th rioters because you are a hypocrite. Yeah....it IS very simple.

It's pretty easy to make inferences when it comes to Trumpers
Again you make assumptions...neither time Trump won was he my first choice...but it doesn't help you to argue to accept that I'm anything but a "trumper"

My political stance is both parties are garbage 😎

You may see a big difference between allowing riots and going easy on prosecuting rioters vs pardoning rioters - I don't. The J6ers got it way worse than the BLM rioters.

Trump is not acting like a dictator. It's the Army's 250th Anniversary Parade. Furthermore, given that Russia doesn't seem interested in the peace table and Israel is clearly planning for a continuing conflict with Iran, I don't think a show of force is a bad thing.

Why is it always anything but cut spending with the left?

How does Trump pardoning Colton for J6 let him off the hook for child p0rn?

Here is the legal process for getting a green card.

The left isn't interested in that. They just want to keep as many illegals here as possible.
