I “think” I’ve found a solution to enable a political, current-event type thread to exist here. AI “Hal’s wife Alexa”, will automatically scan new posts and remove them if they break the site rules in this thread and The Lounge. In the past, things would always go overboard in political threads, with threats, name-calling, etc. I repeatedly (dozens of times) warned against it, but it never stopped, and frankly, enough is enough. This will stop it and allow for civil, informative political and current event discussion.

That said, if no one wants to start abiding by the site rules, then don’t post in this thread any longer. If a post is removed, no other action is taken, such as banning, etc. If your post is removed, don’t complain, just reword it and try again. This is only meant to keep things civil and allow a thread like this to exist here.

20 months into the term, and the "$2/gallon" gas promise has yet to come cloe to materializing.

I wonder... Is it normal when we are in a conflict in the Middle East if gas prices tend to be higher than we like. Pretty sure most of the residents of these United States understand that. Why are only a specific group of people complaining about it? If you need gas money, ask. Swallow that pride. I will Zelle you $20.
