How do I know the password. Is it written down on the computer somewhere?

The copy I have is an enterprise edition - the key can be re-used many times over.

The key that's written down on your computer only works for that install and one other, I believe.

If you have the install CD, use the one on your machine. Should be by the product label...

There's a trick to making a disc bootable...I could easily send you the disc with just the image file on it, but it won't work just like that.

You could make an iso then send it to him over AIM or something then have him burn it to a CD.

I can't help though as I don't have a corporate edition. They are used by people who wish to pirate OSes. Something I don't do. If you want to use the key that came with the PC than you need an OEM version of WinXP home. Something I don't have either, because I only used Pro.

You may be able to find a torrent of an ISO for XP home OEM though. Since you own a key for it, it isn't piracy.
