I'd go Alpine for the ipod. The full speed interface is tits. Also, I tried a thumb drive with my Alpine and it was horrible.

I like the simplicity at the price...I am not a huge fan of the fold down face either.

It's got the USB up front so I can do the thumb drive thing or the iPod thing.
