I would go with nursing over paralegal, if I could handle it -- but I could not. I don't have the aptitude for science. It's funny how people's brains just work differently.Well i have a plan but I am seriously still toying with so many other directions. I may need WSW guidance. My original plan was to gain an A.S. in Paralegal studies. Try to obtain a job with that and continue toward another degree while working.
Of course right now I am flooded by so many other ideas as well and need to figure out how to evaluate all the decisions and pick one. Like nursing for example. The growth of that field and stability look so promising but I would have to work on getting over shit that disturbs me and I will more than likely see.
So I have pretty much shut down that option just because I don't think I could break myself of that problem.
The thing about nursing is that you can always fund a very good paying job. I have a couple of friends that went from nursing to more advanced degrees. One is a nurse practioner and the other is a physician's assistant. They both make mad money.
From what I have seen most law firms use paralegals in a very limited capacity -- usually document productions, analyzing, organizing. It is very rare for them to be used for legal research or in depth analysis. The reason is that law schools are churning out lawyers, so a firm can just hire one of them for that type work and bill at a higher rate.
