friend: I am planning things like cake design (found it) venues (narrowed down to about 4) now so that when the situation arises we don't have to scramble

friend: Well technically I'm enaged to an english man

friend: If I marry Gareth (my friend from England) I will be marrying him for my english passport we'll be living there
friend: If I marry Rian there is no passport issue it wil ljust be me being with the person I want to be with

friend: Not engaged to two people yet
friend: Right now I am just engaged to Gareth
friend: I am waiting for Rian to make up his mind

friend: It's a marriage to someone who is my best friend to be somewhere I am happy

friend: Well if you don't know what it's like I suppose it doesn't

goddyd4me2: you'd be marrying him for a passport only
friend: And when I moved back here I got really depressed and he knew it was because I was back in the states so he said that if I wanted to come back to London he would marry me
friend: and there are a lot of people who get married for worse reasons
goddyd4me2: i couldnt justify marrying someone simpley for a passport

goddyd4me2: i view marriage as something more serious than that
goddyd4me2: a lifelong commitment

friend: I kind of got over the getting lectures about what I do with my life when I stopped speaking to Tim

goddyd4me2: but i guess if you dont view marriage as a serious thing then its no big deal

friend: So really, you're an awesome guy, but I really don't need to get in to an arguement about what I do with my life with anyone who has no idea what is happening around me

friend: I consider marriage for love to be very serious but I know far too many people who have been divorced had children out of wedlock or had otherwise jokes of marriage to really listen to them
