Do they look as good as the AV123 one? The ones that look like a 2x2 piece of plywood with a speaker in the middle look silly.

Some are like that...for others people put more time into finishing.

Somebody needs to buy my amp, I've got an R75 to lowball //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Well, not really lowball, just offer the seller a reasonable price in this market...

specs ? pic?
Too small for you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

PG Tantrum 1200.1...1.4kW @ 2-4.

How come they don't make a "dead head" HU type receiver? If/when I do my next HT upgrade, I'd like to have one "device" do all my processing (DTS/EQ/TA/etc) and then an external amp for the speakers. They don't seem to make that or I am looking for the wrong thing. It seems counterintuitive that car audio would be so much more advanced than home audio.
Because then, it's not a "receiver" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Once you're going down the road of separates, the broadcast tuner becomes its own unit, and the preamp/processor becomes its own...and there are tons of those, just look on Audiogon. Outlaw, Rotel, B&K, etc...all make good multichannel preamps.

What? I paid that note."
and then they pull our paperwork and start reading it. ok...

oh well. haha.

So, the other night I am watching Booknotes on CSpan. They were talking about how the digital age had dumbed down the current generation.

Some guy from the audience starts off a question by commenting how students are in some ways discouraged from reading becuase the authors were not PC. He said that he graduated from an Ivy League school, and said for example you might be in effect told, "Jefferson owned slaves, so you don't need to read the Federalist Papers."

I literally rolled on the floor laughing. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif:laugh://content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif:laugh:

I thought you guys would find that funny -- hell, who wouldn't?
