Yes and "Loud3" made CT rethink that rule. Apparently everyone wants to go to a major acceptance of all applicants despite OG status.

How do you mount the box in the middle of the wall?
The coverplate thing is fine, everything else fine. Mounting that box...I have no idea and there is nothing to which to mount it.

Quite easy. they make plates that go on drywall with no box attached to a stud.

Oh my. I missed that. I haven't got past page 1.

When I routed my speaker wire, it was a walk in the park. I will have to take a pic of how my plates attached to the wall for Flip so he can look for them. There really is no need for a J box to run cables down a wall.

It only makes sense to me. No need for J boxes mounted to studs for simple HT cable management. Now I could understand using J boxes if he was relocating a 120 outlet to behind the TV but he never mentioned that.
