Not always...maybe its like that in the Air Force but the army has a high turn over so there is always opportunites.

and yes, some of those jobs wont ever be filled because they close the position or the budget changes while that job is open. Its just "the game".

They may call him. There has been a movement in the Army lately to hire younger people. Mainly because the infrastructure of employees now is 50 and older. They figure they're going to be fucked in a few years when no one knows shit because they had no oversight that knew what they were doing. Seriously, ive had a garrison commander tell me this.

I just want in. That is my goal. The secretary was the only position where I could get in other then a cook.

Same here. That is how I got my job. I am trying to think of any male secretaries here and couldn't. However, he could easily transition to finance or contracting with his background.

I have seen male secretaries here at the hospital and MWR. So anything's possible. Ya just got to get your foot in the door then its gravy after that.

I don't want to be a cook. I'm just saying that was the only other position I would be qualified for. The others were engineers and IT. If I applied in Minnesota, would they still call me? Do they go through the hassle of bringing in people from out of state?
