Well, I realized I am thinking about 4 years ago when I bought my plasma. I just looked now and can't find an LED DLP under 61" and of course at that size the price break is much more attractive. This may be why I don't see like 50" versions. I guess if you are looking for a big screen and don't care for footprint then it looks attractive. I would go with a screen and projector at that point though.
To give you an example though. Best buy has a Samsung standard DLP 50" for 999. then they have a Samsung LCD for 1499. Now with it being standard DLP it just isn't even a thought to me. The 500 savings isn't worth the size and possible maintenance down the road. Now if it was an LED it's price would sit somewhere in between those 2. Making a theoretical saving of 250. Which still isn't worth it to me for it's size and aesthetics.
This all doesn't matter though because I didn't see an LED DLP in that size at BB. So it is all admittedly assumption on my part. I suppose if you want a big *** TV then perhaps it is a thought. Personally my 42" is plenty for me and I can't see going past 50" on a TV. It's nice and slim and looks nice while giving me a nice picture.
I really can't believe these ridiculous prices on TVs right now. This is so different from 4 years ago. I guess this ultimately makes my opinions on value obsolete. I can still say I don't like the footprint of any DLP I have seen though and thats all I got.
I can't believe the sizes that are basically "standard" now either. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
at this point, thats an option too. Im just getting tired of having to pay people to deliver stuff to my house. I just cant see something somewhere and purchase it, its always a hassle.snoop, why a small truck? Just get an old chevy truck for $1000 or less. easy to fix/maintain.
The footprint also gives you a spot for your equipment right? With an LCD I'd still have to get a cabinet approximately equal to the footprint of a DLP in the end I'm thinking. The Sammy 61" 1080p LED DLP with 3D capability I posted earlier is $1500 w/ free ship...don't think you can find a LCD/plasma that size at that price...but then again, I don't think he's looking for a set that large.
Also, the footprint is more important for some, but for myself, doesn't really matter, I have a whole wall to use for a TV and the room isn't an issue.
If I was willing to go to Columbus I couldNot to mention the interaction between you and the professor. I wonder how many online students get invited to conferences, seminars, and other social gatherings.
I don't.Ross (I think it's ross) is a pretty good school. Their executive MBA program is highly ranked.
P.S. If you want to talk about MBA programs, you mention the business building program, not the University.

You type your paper in Word so instead of printing it you just email it. Hell most of classes that I had to attend in person made us email the papers because the teachers didn't want the paper. There were no smart phones when I went to college. My peeps hadn't been hired to invent them yet.
emailing in paperwork was not an option either. It was required to be on paper.

Yep, touched on this earlier, people want a flat panel tv, but end up either putting it on a standard sized stand, or getting a stand for all of their a/v equipment. The footprint also gives you a spot for your equipment right? Can you see the full screen of a DLP standing from an extreme angle to the side of the TV like a LCD?Yep, touched on this earlier, people want a flat panel tv, but end up either putting it on a standard sized stand, or getting a stand for all of their a/v equipment.
Doesn't make much sense.
