Thats why I wouldn't use a hacked one for live.What would be the use then other than using it for a media system if you didnt want to use it online because youre scared of being caught. Thats a lot of subscription money to not use, or to lose if you get caught.
Media streamer. Pretty cheap for the level of functionality it has. Run home brewed apps, games or mods to games, for the fun of it.

I don't know what kind of home brew movement the 360 has but if it is as large as the Wii homebrews it could be fun playing with a hacked one.
Of course pirates make it hard on everyone though because most just want to hack it and make it possible to play games for free.
Like when i had dreamcast, one of my friends only paid for 1 of the 30 damn games he had. Didn't even need to chip that bitch. Just load a boot loader disc first then replace with game without powering down. Stupid easy.
