Nah, I understand that 18 - mid twenties can be hard. People in that age group are often faced with the reality that life is not as fun as it once was and the pressure of "what are you going to be when you grow up" is more demanding and urgent than it once was.
I don't think that you necessarily solve these issues as you get older, you just learn to say fvck it, I am going to enjoy today.

The thing that frustrates me is that, with hindsight, I know that the younger guys should be enjoying these days more. I remember after the biirth of our first child I looked at my wife and said, "I year ago we thought we were so dam busy. WTF did we do with all of our spare time?"

As far as racism goes, hell things are so much better than 20 years ago that I don't even see it as much of an issue. Hell, I understand that Nathan is just now emerging from a time when his views were predominately shaped by older southern people who see things very differently from younger generations. These people are not filled with hate, they just hold the view that races should be seperate. They don't even question it or give much thought to it, they just assume that this is the way things should be. They don't spend a lot of time reflecting on it. But even those older people are coming around.
Well I am 20 1/2 and have no problems with life. I have my goals set, and am actually on pace to achieve them. I am fortunate to have parents who care, but they do not push me. They know how responsible I am, and tell me how proud they are. Life is fairly easy for me *knocks on wood* and I welcome challenges.

And you are exactly right where my views came from. Its something I, myself, have to grow out of.

2. deerhunt will never come around. it is beyond his reach.

4. i said fuk it a long time ago.

5. my answer (what im going to be when i grow up) was always "rich"
2.) what makes you so sure of that?

4.) We can tell.

5.) Not accomplished because of number 4

The aforementioned "hood"
Looks like government funded housing projects the poor white people lived in at my hometown. No offense.

Also, in Nathan's defense, he is just coming out of HS where a lot the black people that he was exposed to are racists themselves, or are otherwise just assholes. Some of them will grow out of it and some of them will not. It's the same thing, their views are shaped predominately by people who grew up in a more racist era. It takes time and every generation makes progress.
Thats what so many people don't understand in other parts of the nation. In high school, there were several salt/pepper fights. Each race always supported themselves no matter what the situation. Here, it isn't just whites that ya'll call "racist". You should have seen all the obscenities I had yelled at me by blacks when I had "Honk if you hate OBAMA!" on the back glass of my Blazer.

I wonder where nathan is from
Guntown, Mississippi. Lived there from 0-18 years of age. Only black people on my road were older "country" black people who were cool as sh1t. They hunted and fished. And i think one of the ladies dipped. hahaha. And they called people naggers. Just like several grandparents in my hometown.

im on forums all day while at work where 99% of the population are white and 90% of them are racists. Doesnt mean that i am going hate white people.
I can't believe you think 89.1% of forum members are racist.

You are one quick to holler "racism".

I guess.

You are racist though.

Welp, looks like the Bahama rum excursion is out. Apparently rum isn't really a 'bahama thing'. But, good news on the Kalik.

According to the internets:

How does duty-free shopping work? It's simple. Merchandise that is sold duty free has had no import tax added to the price. Dealers pass the savings on to customers. Depending on your home country, you can take back goods worth up to a certain amount without paying any further tax or duty on them when you return.

For citizens of the U.S., the limit is $600 worth of goods, plus two litres of liquor per person. You'll need to be in the islands for at least 48 hours and you can only do this once in 30 days. A 10% tax is charged on any amount over $600 but less than $1,000. Any items made in The Bahamas are not counted toward the duty-free limit.

For families living in the same household and traveling together, the individual amounts can be pooled. A husband, wife, and two children, for example, may carry home $2,400 worth of goods. (The kids don't count toward the liquor total, though. )

Americans can send gifts home, as long as the value doesn't exceed $30 per day to the same person. The words "Unsolicited gift" must be on the customs form when the package is shipped.
So I can bring back 2 liters of beer back. One of you Americas that understand your stupid measurement system tell me how many 6 packs that is.

Everybody is a little racist. Even people of mixed races which is kind of funny.

True story, a friend of mine in high school was the most racist person I have ever met. Read 'mein kampf' in high school, supported nazi culture through small donation and trying to spread the word (not randomly but through our network of friends) of white supremecy and hatred. Spent hours of research, blah, blah you get the point.

Now he has a child of mixed race and is engaged to a black girl.

Its funny how life works. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I put mine on the butler I have in the bedroom. Keys, wallet, watch, and sunglasses. They all go in the same spot every evening.
you have a butler!?

unlikely you will grow out of it

2.) Not while posting on this forum you wont, maybe in about 10 years, but then you will revert back, because you will have to teach your kids what you were taught. This is a never ending cycle for you, you just dont realize it yet.

4/5.)The not givin a, was in reference to life problems. Not to making money, or else I wouldnt be at work right now.
