Crunk Times, My friend.....Crunk Times

I went to school 21 hours and held two PT jobs.

What amazed me most about my trip to MSU is the number of people whose parents pay for their kids college. I snicker when I hear about these plans that help people save for their kids school on a tax deferred basis.

Here's a poll among the few of you that have kids. Do you save for your kids education? If so, why? I don't expect everyone to have the same standards my parents did (Our hope for you is that you do not end up in prison) I am on the fence about this...on one hand, it would be nice not to deal with the retail enviornment during college and get to experience other social aspects...on the other hand, it was my dollar on the line...the only person that cared if I passed or failed is me.

I guess my parents did help in that they let me live at home during school. Some people got kicked out at 18.

Isave for my sons future. Ihave a money market acct that i put roughly $100.00 every paycheck into it. I get roughly 3-4% on average(however, it has been getting lower and lower) my plan at the moment is to use that money to get my son his car when he turns 16(assuming he can proove himself to me) and then use the rest for college, assuming he doesnt get some sort of scholership(sp*). If he gets a scholership and doesnt have to pay for school, once he graduates I'll give it to him as a reward.
