Yes, we save for our kid's education. I don't want my kids to have start their adult lives already behind the eight ball with student loan debt. I also am not a big fan of the kids working their way through school. I think that in the long run they are better off focusing on being students, complete with school related activities that they would not have time for if they are flipping burgers for some pathetic wage.
fuck you.

lawl. Let's set em up and knock them down.
Yeaaaa!

Thanks flip.
BTW, my dad saved up and paid for what years I went to college. I pissed it away. That should help strengthen the side of the argument you are currently agreeing to.

I think it is nice for parents to save and "help" pay for their childrens education, but terms should be made that the child has to adhere to. One would be a job to help pay their own way, best they can. Any hint of abusing the help and pull it.

I guess I see both points of it is what I am saying and it needs to be in between in my eyes.

The scientologists would say you were FREE then.
No. The term would be "clear".

Same mentality my parents have. Of course they spent tens of thousands on my brother and he doesn't have a degree. They know I will pull through though.

When I hear about the single parents saying woe is me because I work two jobs, it also means I am not sympathetic. You made a choice to get knocked up and it required two jobs. I made a choice to go to school and it required two jobs. I didn't expect anyone to feel sorry for me...why do you expect people to feel sorry for you.
My dad said the fact I put myself through school will be a great story if I even run for office. I am not so sure...it made me feel less sympathetic towards others. Why should the struggles one overcomes to meet their goals be valued? They shouldn't be, imo.
I agree with that.
