I wonder how long he would have to stay if he chose not to be bailed out? I was thinking, if I only had to wait a week or so for trial, I would just take vacation time and tough it out. My freedom isn't worth $100/day.

He would have probly been in there til today sometime.

And here is my dilemma for the day...
I currently have a gravel driveway and the gravel tends to spread....and creates a non-linear driveway, ie. the gravel expands here and there and the driveway is rather messy.

I am considering getting the driveway paved (concrete or asphault, I incorrectly use the term interchangably)...however, I will have the only paved driveway house. I talked to my parents and they said that when they moved there, they were the only non-paved driveway. After they paved, others in the neighborhood followed suit.

Or I can try to use some type of shrub, rock, etc to more define and edges of the driveway and limit the gravel sprawl.

Suggestions?

Problem with asphault is that I have concrete patio in the back...I'd be pretty much limited to concrete.

I'd rather it match. I responded the best I could.
I wouldn't trade for quick bucks in this market. Dollar cost average though...I think that would be a good choice.

Nah, im still looking for long term. Those are just the few I have been watching.

Oh, and Flip, you do realized that once this is poured you are going to just have to deal with buyer's remorse? You can't just turn around and sell the driveway.

Go rent a packer, pack in the gravel. Level it all out, set up some forms. Then go an get some quotes for concrete.

If you become the GC, things get a lot cheaper.

I am looking into that as well....however, they say it doesn't settle all that well.

My dad said I should put it on top of the existing gravel. It is sold per cubic yard. By my estimates, @ 1" thick, I will need 5 cubic yards. Although I am thinking 15 c.y. will cover what I need to cover. They sell it for ~$38/cy.
