get an external drive, d/l everything to it. only use it when you are watching your movies or using the programs. or get a firewall and dont give them access. or are you using their internet and had to install their software?

Its my computer... they do random scans of all IP's and if they find material that was downloaded illegally (IE: a bootleg of a futurama episode i got thru bit torrent) the will call me into their judicial office to be "punished"
bish pretty much told me to delete all of the things i had ever downloaded for free (over 40 gigs of stuff... fvck that)

Getting caught when you break the law is a bish, huh.

then just tell them you did, they can't search your pc w/o a warrant.

well when they called me in they had pages printed out listing stuffz i had on my computer from looooong ago...
so they obviously scanned it somehow...

They scanned it coming in. Not while it resided on your PC. They can't just walk into your PC legally. It's like the cops staking out your house. They watch and record what is going in. They can't just walk in. Well some do anyway, but that is bside my point lol. Now yes they can hack their way in, but they aren't supposed to and a good firewall will stop them from doing that.

wrong... i didnt upload or download any of the files they had documented while i was on campus... ive had those files for 6+ months
