So I'm chatting up the girl my friend likes, but he doesn't have the balls to just start talking to her like I did. Does that make me a bad person? It's not like he's completely unsocial, so I have no idea what he was waiting on.

yes because it's very similar like what I did with my used to be friend. You don't just do what I did to a friend....yours isn't as bad as mine but if you knew that he liked the girl and even told you and yet you still went after her, yes that's bad in my book. If he's never mentioned anything and you just "noticed," he liked her that's not bad really. But if he specifically sat you down and said help me get the confidence to get with this chick, you are in the wrong.

I can tell she doesn't actually like me and is just trying to be nice though. After a few select statements, she's recommending that I should try and talk to her friend. Hot damn!!!

I think hypothetically a lot. Probably a sign I am a bad person at times because I know I shouldn't do certain things.

it's ok to "think," about it but don't EVER do what I did. Losing a friendship is so not worth it, especially a good friend at that.
