My arms are naturally bulky. Not much definition, just bulk.
My legs are beastly. They are cut as shit, and ginormous. They're monstrous...and I'm not exaggerating.
my arms aren't that big until I flex and then you can see that I've got some muscle. My legs I'm afraid to say have never been big.....they are pretty small //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

It was funny when I first started going to the gym...I benched like 100lbs, but could leg press over 600. It was awkward..
Yea but look at what you do and it makes sense. I mean, you basically sit in a squatting position for most of a hockey game, like what, three times a week? How long is a hockey game? 90 minutes?

I'm a goalie, and goalies are all legs. That, along with playing 5-6 times a week, and on occasion playing much more (played 10 games in a weekend tourny), built my legs before I ever even lifted.

im in the same boat as you... must have been soccer

i could do 1100 on leg press my junior year...

squats on the other hand have never agreed with me, anything over 350 on bar an my kneecaps start to roll out of socket when i go down //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

well my goal is to get somewhat big but not to big. I want the big arms, decent sized chest, nice wide broad shoulders and then a slimmed up waist. right now my upper body looks decent but my belly just will not come off this time around. I'm about to start taking stuff if I can't do it naturally because this is bullsh1t. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif You can hit me up on aim if you want. Just tell me and I'll jump on
The most important thing to remember is it takes time and dedication. And whereas you may not think your growing like you should be, other people will notice it better than you. For example, my freshman year of college when I became serious about lifting I gained about 10lbs. I didn't think I got all that much bigger. But when I came back home from the summer people who hadn't seen me in a while were like 'STEROIDS!' That is what keeps me motivated.

Diet is also a huge factor. Before my freshman year I never ate right. I started ingesting around 1g protein per pound of body weight and the muscle came on.

I'd recommend a split similar to as follows for about 8-10 weeks to really get into it.

Monday-Chest/Triceps

Tuesday-Back/Biceps

Wednesday-Legs

Thurs-off

Friday-off

Repeat

Throw in abs twice a week and you got a good routine. If you haven't been lifting, I'd start off about 12 sets per body part. Keep your sets to something like 12x10x8x8 reps for each exercise.

After about 10 weeks of that, you will see improvement in size and strength. A good follow up routine would be a 5x5 program to REALLY pack on some more mass.

About the loosing the belly..My current goal is working on my 6 pack. It is there, and I can see the outline, but the beer drinking killed me on this.. I have been on a cutting diet for about 10 weeks and have lost 8 pounds. I thought 8lbs would do wonders, but apparently I had more fat on me than I thought. I am currently taking Lipo 6 and I like to think that it is helping. However my diet is change is where the weight loss is definitely coming from. I am just now starting to run. I am just hoping it is easier to keep a flat stomach than it is to get it.

Any thing else you want to know you can hit me up on AIM deerblount1988

Bench was 245x6Pullovers was 100x6

Deads I did around 400x2

I'm a naturally big guy, right now I'm out of shape and I'm 6'1 250.

About 6 months ago I was around 240lbs.

First time I did leg press at the gym I did over 600...my legs are just huge..guess it's from 15+ years of hockey 5-6 times/week //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I would still whip your ***. If you are ever in Detroit look me up and I will make a believer out of you.

I used to absolutely hate squats. but now for some reason I love them. I think its knowing that I have 300+lbs on the bar frequently and people are able to see the bar flexing on my reps. Just motivation, ya know? My dad hurt his legs squatting..He could do 400x8 reps or something like that.. He just tells me to be very careful while doing them. I know several people who squats don't agree with. Instead of trying to do as much weight as I can for reps, I now focus on form. I WILL go beyond parallel on all reps. Even lifting a bit less, my legs are still showing gains.
