Not worried, just lost some respect for you.well the ones that were banned by me were just enforcing the rules put in place by the stickies. The arrangment I had has already been broken since no one has deleted the threads or posts w/ links to the chat logs that were part of the original deal.
bahn4lyfe is jman on an AE. Jextel posted ****. Bose301s is a moron and needed a vacation.
justin, why are you worried about me spending a few mins on the mot name?
there is so many more important factors than sources of crude. We don't even have enough refineries to keep up with current demand so how will having more oil sources help that? Secondly adding to oil sources is still a band aid to a broken leg. We need alternates in the market like yesterday. I couldn't care less about the environment to an extent, but I don't agree with drilling off shore. I say F it. Let prices soar until the world gets a clue.is the refusal to drill more in the US some type of long term investment thing? Like we are waiting for all the rest of the oil in teh worl dto be used then we will have it all and be like the arabs later?
Jesus, everyone using a jumping proxy is me now? I have nothing to do with Banana Balls. All the new names with a shit ton of posts are iamdeman. He was banned and kept making names. His orig name is up to something like 10 months or so.

Excelent point. It is a good wake up call.there is so many more important factors than sources of crude. I am not against it persay. I think it is unnecessary. I feel people are misinformed thinking it will make any sizeable difference. Most cost is coming from speculators and a demand that refineries are struggling to supply. More sources of oil will have such a minimal impact that it isn't necessary.Excelent point. It is a good wake up call.
I don't know what you have against drilling offshore though. Yes there is some risk, but that is what makes life interesting.
Why are the refineries struggling to supply all of a sudden?I am not against it persay. I think it is unnecessary. I feel people are misinformed thinking it will make any sizeable difference. Most cost is coming from speculators and a demand that refineries are struggling to supply. More sources of oil will have such a minimal impact that it isn't necessary.
True, but it will pressure poeple to really push into alternatives as the initial cost to introduce them to the market will seem justifiable.I'm not sure what kind of wake up call I need. Sure paying twice the money for groceries and air conditioning stings a little, but I'm an American. I'm going to continue to drive to work even though it is close enough to walk.
It hasn't been just overnight, but the fact is there are barely enough for the load right now. I won't pretend to be an economist, so I won't pretend to know why this issue hasn't been addressed in the way of improving or expanding the refinery infrastructures, but I know that problems exist in that segment. Why are the refineries struggling to supply all of a sudden?
I was not really thinking in terms of individual habits. I was thinking more about the political will to develop alternatives to oil.I'm not sure what kind of wake up call I need. Sure paying twice the money for groceries and air conditioning stings a little, but I'm an American. I'm going to continue to drive to work even though it is close enough to walk.
My wild *** speculation is that we need to use this as one measure to buy us time while we develop long term alternatives.I am not against it persay. I think it is unnecessary. I feel people are misinformed thinking it will make any sizeable difference. Most cost is coming from speculators and a demand that refineries are struggling to supply. More sources of oil will have such a minimal impact that it isn't necessary.
You make very valid points there. I think I will change my opinion on this subject, and support the shortage for now.True, but it will pressure poeple to really push into alternatives as the initial cost to introduce them to the market will seem justifiable.
Not to mention if we get gas prices high enough then it will get poor people off the road and back in the gutter where they belong.
Could be, but there is no viable alternative right now.I was not really thinking in terms of individual habits. I was thinking more about the political will to develop alternatives to oil.
