How does one fix it?

First of all, I don't think you will always wonder. As time goes on those issues will just not occupy your mind as much. Instead, you will be more preoccupied with: "why is she being such a b!tch? Why does she insist on spending so much on complete BS? Why does she think the wonderful things I want to buy are BS? Why do we need another kid? Are the six kids that we have not enough?
