Can we watch girl on girl this time though?
We've seen all of the ghey **** I have.
well, okay i guess. But can play with the hamster?!??

Sounds like the same problem as my S-10. WHat I needed was an baffle that had the lowest depth at the lower right hand corner and increased to the upper left. However, the depth of the lower left could be greater than the lower right, but less than the upper left.
The stock baffle wouldn't work because the profi basket was too wide. I henceforth bought a replacement baffle for my coaxials.

Still undecided on a 3way active frontstage with no sub vs. coaxials and a 4 channel.

Yeah, that is another problem. The baffle stock baffle is narrow as hell. It truly is a freaking mess.

See if they have OEM replacements on eGay. It turns out the crappy/sloppy replacement baffle is more suited for these applications. They shouldn't be, but they are. Hell, it's worth $20 to try, perhaps
Yeah, but I can't imagine them fitting the same "base" and having wider cutout. Or should I? I am about ready to say Fvck it and jam them in the plastic shit the best I can and get on with the rest of my life.

The worst part of all this is that some guy had some custom kicks on DIYMA but sold them before I saw it.

You finally reached the point where it isn't really worth it....ca is supposed to be fun...remember. It's no fun if you get mad.
But I have been there before as well. I decided to get new equipment that fit better with my skill level and was pretty happy.
Eh, I would enjoy it a lot more if I had the tools to work with. But it was fun until I realized that it may have all been one giant waste of time and money since all the freaking deadening etc is not going to make a difference if the dam speakers are not properly mounted and aimed toward a giant piece of plastic. That part, not so fun.

That argument is why I am strongly leaning towards coaxials and just calling it a day. F*ck the stress. F*ck worry about setting it up, someone stealing it, etc.
My last resort is turning to this guy that my neighbor knows that is supposed to be an installer for one of the local shops. I saw a box he built and it was well made (well, at least it fit well in my neighbor's truck).

That may work. Although I am always hesitant on the friend-of-a-friend who happens to be knowledgeable about x, y , or z.
yeah, i would like to do it myself, but i don't have the woodworking tools to do it. I can see what I would like to try -- but I just don't have the ability to make the cuts myself. So my second best choice is to tell someone what I am thinking while they are viewing my vehicle, speakers etc.

What tools do you need? And If you had them, do you know how to use them?

Every install on diy makes most every install on ca.com look like crap. But they don't have families...or understanding families or something. They spend 1-200 hours on those projects. But that install is very similar to what I'd have to do to my s-10 if I put 8" subs in the doors.

It would be 8" subs in the doors, 3" midrange in the kicks, tweeter in the door. It would take about 6 months of weekends to complete.

Or I could throw some coaxials in there for 1/4th price and only take a weekend.
I have no woodworking tools, and no, I really would have to learn as I go. There would be a heap of fVcked up MDF on the garage floor by the time I was finished. Hell, just the cost of the MDF alone makes it worth my while to see if I can get into contact with this installer. Like I said, I have not only "heard" that he knows what he is doing, I have seen his work. Since I have no plans on buying tools and i am not going to gnaw out a baffle with my teeth I don't have much choice.

Train Derails In Mecca
Authorities in Riverside County worked today to clear then scene of a freight train derailment that sparked a fire near the town of Mecca and released toxic fumes into the air, causing no injuries but prompting the evacuation of scores of residents.

No injuries were reported in the incident, which occurred about 8:45 last night, said James Barnes of Union Pacific. Twenty-nine cars of the 65-car train derailed near Highway 111, which remained closed this morning in the area near the derailment site.

Barnes said one of the derailed tanker cars was carrying phosphoric acid, some of which leaked, and the other tanker car carried hydrochloric acid, some of which was somehow released as well.

Hydrochloric acid is used to produce chlorides, fertilizers, and dyes and can harm the eyes, skin, and mucous membranes. Phosphoric acid is a milder acid used to remove rust and treat steel surfaces prior to painting.

The rail cars did not catch fire, but some of the wooden railroad ties ignited, probably because of friction from the derailment, Barnes said.

Some evacuees were housed at Coachella Valley High School, 83800 Airport

Blvd., officials said.

Barnes said the train was going from Colton to El Centro when the derailment occurred. About 2,000 feet of track was damaged, and about two dozen trains will have to be re-routed, he said.

Public safety personnel set up a unified command structure to coordinate the response by local, state, federal, and private agencies.

The cause of the derailment was under investigation.

It amazes me that ya'll have never live in apts where people played their music all loud at 2am when you are trying to write a paper.
I dont know, never had a problem with it in the townhouses or apartments i lived in. Just lucky I guess.

If it is any consultation, I'll call you Dr. regardless of your educational accomplishments. Only if you want me to though.
flip is supposed to be calling me doctor.
