I watched the movie Trade a couple weeks ago. Was very good, yet disgusting to know that kind of shit happens all of the time. Very graphic.

the dude at the next table was a sales rep for a big concrete producer..

I dont know man. I just didnt like it. I dont like the assembly line shit. and they have a bunch of "temps" there. Basically a lot of excons and drug addicts, most of them are 40+ and missing all their teeth. The one lady I was talkin to, I said man theres plenty of other warehouse jobs out there you should apply. She said "ive been on drugs for the past 12 years, I cant pass a drug test" Im thinking, I had to take a drug test right after my interview. But she said she is a temp. I guess temps dont take one? Then she was like yeah a bunch of the people in there are former crackheads and some still are and some guy in there does crank. Its just....not for me.

I dont wanna say im too good for that place.....but im too good for that place.

I told them they have me til at least thursday, maybe friday.

Besides, it wouldnt work with school anyway. This morning it took me an hour to get home, id have no time in between work and class. So much traffic. When I started friday it was different cuz i was coming home saturday morning, i didnt even think about it.

Ive been wanting to get in on some semi manual labor

its wierd, Ive got a college degree, but I hate sitting on my *** all day..

Ive been considering going to trade school, and working my way towards a journeymans license in residential elctricical, but meh. Ive got a baby coming, so Im worried about income being fluid, Im used to making a set amount, twice a month, so eh, I dont know, but I know Im tired of getting fatter and sitting around all night when most folks are sleeping

just keep looking man, you know how to get jobs, obviously, so just keep fishing

No two week notice is FTL.

I like manual labor as well. Id like a good mix of both. When I was in MD I had a great mix. It was perfect for me and the money was nice.

I dont think I could do a solely desk job. Id much rather be out there doing something. Which is why i liked working with my brother. Also why I wanted to buy a tow truck and do that for my next business venture.

So I definitely feel you on the sitting around part.

But I dont have any college degree yet. Hopefully by next fall Ill have at least an Associates. heh.
