Ok, so the thing with my best friend is that his girlfriend is bat shit insane. He wants to dump her, but he is afraid she will go off the deep end or simply kill herself. His fears are not completely unsubstantiated though because this girl is indeed that crazy. Since having dated him, she has:

1) Cut off all ties with her previous friends.

2) Cut off all ties with her family.

3) Refuses to seek new friends or to mend old relationships under the advice of her boyfriend.

4) Made several comments about her having no reason to live if he breaks up with her for the previously listed reasons.

My friend has completely fucked up the relationship though because they have already been previously engaged AND he won't stop fucking her despite wanting to break up with her.
