Actually I'll just go ahead and write a brief review.
The mag is def what people have said about it all along. It's a musical sub that easily blends with your front stage. However, that being said...I noticed a HUGE decrease in output from directly swapping my GTI for the Mag. The low notes are not being hit with authority like my gti. My box is 1.2^3 sealed and the gains weren't changed...direct swap...about 800 watts. I would say it's not for someone who wants a lot of bass but rather a sub to easily integrate with a decent front stage. I'm going to try it in my ported box later tonight. The good thing about it though, is the bass isn't boomy from a kickdrum it actually just sounds....nice I guess. lol

Tis why I like it. It gains more authority down low with a 2 cuft tuned enclosure, but not as much as a basshead would like. Sealed isn't optimal for compromise on that woofer. It needs ported, but not a large ported enclosure. My HE2s have more output in sealed than the mag too, but they are a sealed driver.

2K you will notice a big increase when you go ported. I did on minez.

Indeed and with only a 2.0 cuft requirement for ported it isn't terribly huge. Of course in his truck EVERY inch will count.

I will agree with you. In a standard cab truck, good sealed drivers are a must. Have you tried an IDQ?
