I bet 4/10 don't spend hours tuning for a well balanced system either.
I like mine more and more....It's a little on the bright side but I am ironing that out.

What I really need to get it better tuned is a program that can tell me what frequency certain things are at. I use a lot of Alicia Keys for tuning. What frequency is her voice in certain parts? I dunno.

I can't hear a note and say...yeah thats 454 Hz.
That'd be cool if you could do that. I find that eq's with a lot of bands only screw me up more //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

The problem with that is you have the instrumentals, the vocals, and all of that good stuff. What you can do is get a sample of 20 hz, 25 hz, etc. To whatever hz you want, and just have it on 'playback' and tune it that way. That's what I'd do.

I think they could be helpful if I knew more about what I was doing. Right now, it is guess and check. But if I had this program, her's what I would do...
Listen to the song and mark places where I found it to be especially bright. Then go to the program and see what frequency is being played at that time. I am sure such a program exists, I just don't know what one would call it.
EQ bands are EZ sauce. The left = Bass, right = Treble. Middle = Mid-range.

In my mind the program would have a graphic display splitting those up. I imagine like several line graphs on a chart.
We should design / create a meter for that. One that plugs into RCA's into your AMP and has the input from your HU that goes to another hand-held reciever that monitors / saves all of it.

Funny thing is that I put my IDQ in last night after going without a sub for a couple of weeks (took the mag out because I needed the space) and you can really tell a difference in the overall SQ (as opposed to not having a sub). Even when you don't think that you can really hear the sub, it's there -- just blending as it should I guess.
