I think since I'll never buy an RTA setup or will ever have access to one I should just go the 9887 route. It'd be better then nothing.....

I just read the huge thread in the review section over at DIY. It just basically says there is horrible bass response but imaging greatly improves. If you want a linear response the imprint is good, but it can't be manually tweaked.

and how hard is it to actually "tune" once you have the RTA. I was hoping whenever I met up with justin he could show me how to do all of this but he didn't have an RTA mic whenever he came down.
