BTW: Finished x-mas shopping for gf. I was hoping for some advice from MW, but he failed to respond.

I think the difference is that at CC or BB you have some slob who is just trying to get a paycheck -- it's not entirely his fault that he is ignorant. The stores need to do a better job of training. In any case, I think it is poor form to go to a store for the sole purpose of giving someone shit. They are not there for the purpose of discussing audio -- they are there to sell. If you don't want to buy, I think that you should tell them as clearly and politely as you can that audio is a hobby and you are just killing some time.

I do have a relationship question though.
G/f has been making comments lately about going to the gym because she thinks she fat. She's not, but I do like the idea of going to the gym just to get physically fit and all. I want to start going myself some....just for health and endurance reasons (so I am not so tired all the time)...What are some ways I can encourage her to take advantage of using the gym without offending her.

There isn't anything wrong with the suggestion, you just have to word it correctly. Just start off by saying, "I'm tired of being out of shape, will you start going to the gym with me? You and I could be each others motivation and that way I will be letting you down if I don't show up."

That's what I did one time with a girl and it worked out pretty well. She wasn't fat by any means, I just really needed the motivation.

That is why it doesn't bother me when they do it to these best buy/ circuit city people. I don't think they understand how mass retail works. They just throw a person in a random section and hope they sell some stuff. The training is lacking, if non-existant because training time means no one on the floor.
I'd be more worried about the 18 year old in electrical trying to explain a customer what size wire he needs over a person reccomending a product they sell over a product they never heard of. People on these forum think that everyone has heard of Fi. Several of my friends don't even have computers, how in the fuck are you going to blast them for not hearing of FI.

I haven't met a brick layer that made a billion dollars in one day. So if one is the best brick layer ever, they make what $100-$200k per year? That isn't real money for the effort involved.
