so my two tvs have come down to this. The reason I'm having to change YET AGAIN is because my dad won't buy me a DLP, it has to be an LCD. So I'm seeing if he will like either of these two options and I got to see the LG in person and play a ps3 with it. Very very nice picture, I thought it was great.

so these are the two options I suppose that I'll go with tomorrow:

My viewing distance btw is pretty much the min as to what you need for a 40" screen, which is 8 feet. I could move the stand we have a little bit though but I do meet the min requirements for viewing distance.
