Crossover capacitor help???

I just need to know if I can solder a 47uF cap and 10uF cap in series to make them 57uF. RAdioshack doesnt have much of a selection for caps and they also did not carry the coils to make my crossover be 12db octave.

No you need to put them in parallel to increase capacitance. It just the opposite from resistors.. Pos to pos neg to neg/

could u draw me up a simple diagram of how i should wire them on the positive lead on my speaker?
