construction for SOLO-Baric (round)

I would like plans or tips on construction or even advice on purchasing a dual 12" sealed OR vented enclosure for some older Kicker solo-baric round subs. I believe the amp that is available to me is also a Kicker, but I don't know what kind, since it's in another state...I know it's about 1 1/2 feet long though...I'm guessing around 800 to 1000 watts peak, per channel.

My biggest questions are:

Which is cheaper? Homemade or store-bought? and

Which will perform the best?

I haven't purchased a deck yet...so don't ask.

What's the deal here? Does anyone have any info on box-building plans? I have the amp now, it's a Kicker xs50 and it pumps about 700 total watts at 1 ohm, I believe. I have two solo-baric s10d subs, and all the wires. I need a smaller enclosure, like a hatch box...I suppose this also means I am looking for dual 10" enclosures. Please help!
