I've got a shoebox of baseball cards I collected in the mid to late 70's...also have some cards I traded back then that go back to the 50's and 60's...absolutely no idea if they are worth anything.

Yeah I have about 30,000 cards, and prolly 300 comics in storage. Just swung a deal with another guy for his collection, approx 25,000 cards.

I pretty much pick up odd collections that people either don't want to store anymore, or tired of lookin at them. Sometimes trade audio gear for them, sometimes cash.....alll depends. Not a chance anyone will pay near book value. Heck....even card shops won't pay it.

I enjoy them, I check them out, then put them away. Mine have been parked for the last 15 years. Whenever I move I relook then store them again. Are you wanting to find a new home for your cards?

Yup pretty much. Cards fetch .01 to $1 per....depending on condition. To sell them on ebay, the shipping is usually more than the card is worth.

Go through your little collection and seperate "superstars" from "common" players. Buy nice plastic holders for your big name guys.

Even still.....chances of me getting back what I have invested.....be slim. Very few cards are worth much anymore. When the "card boom" was on, prices were 4x what they are now. If there is ever another boom, then perhaps I can see them being worthwhile. But as it stands....my collection is gonna sit in dry cold storage for the next 30 years.
