clipping with momo/polk mc650

i get clipping at moderate volumes...

i'm just using the head unit to power these for the time being...

head unit is an old jvc 45 x 4 peak.

the wires are just crimped with electrical tape covering them...i didn't have a solder on hand, but will solder them together when i have the chance

aniways any suggestions on why it is clipping???

volume is at 23 when i get clipping on certain songs
