Clarus 1200.2 or comparable?

well my buddy has 2 audiobahn cheapy 10s rated at 300rms a piece, blew his 4 channel profile shitbox he had so now he wants somthin decent. I told him the Profile Clarus 1200.2 would be nice as at 4ohms hell get 900 at 14.4v which i know he wont get even close so it wont be too much over the rms of the subs. The problem is he has an 8 gauge wiring kit i believe and is limited on funds so wants to delay the process of upgrading cables. Would the amp run on this small of a wire with even decent power output or no?

any other amps that would fit his situation at 200$ max?
