I have become #2. Somehow in the night, he surpassed me. Adherence is the issue... though I am not sure why. I am militaristic about my clock in and out times as well as my break times. I have to assume adherence measures other metrics as well. One thing is for sure, 1st, 2nd and 3rd places are so far ahead of the rest of them it is getting comical.
 
So I got the shift I didn't want during the shift bid... Sunday and Monday off, for them to make sure I am working on Labor Day... a Monday. They then give me a Thursday off for working Labor Day so I am still only working 5 days. BUT!!!! Dig this, 2.5X pay for this guy on Labor Day. So, I ain't complaining. I can imagine if it was overtime on top of that. Which I hear will happen during some holidays.

Working salary, I don't have the pleasure of getting overtime. My guys are always complaining about having to work overtime once in a while. Then they cry about not having enough money. I wish I could work the overtime they don't want and get paid for it.

At my last job, my chief mechanic was making $20k a year more than me due to all his overtime, and I was paid over $100k.

As an update, I'm still in line for that new job. I'm waiting for my interview date.

Training is officially done!! Had a large graduation meal and ceremony type thing... pretty sure the meal gave me anal prolapsing diarrhea last night. I am drained. Got a 3 day weekend then I start my regular schedule until 9pm. The upsides to that are no traffic on the way home and I get an addition 10% each hour after 6pm.
