in my signature you'll see my set-up. now i know most don't like xplod amps, however mine is the es series and does fine. now my problem, here lately, since i added the 2xs, it's been getting HOT and shutting off. it never did it until the 2xs.
the sub specs are dvc 4ohm, believe wired series in box, parallel to amp. amp is bridged for 380x1 at 2 ohm. again this never happened until the audiocontrol was added. are my subs presenting a 4 ohm load to the amp? then the amp is "seeing" 2 ohms by it being bridged( the parallel part of the subs wiring),correct?
the 2xs is supposed to be a line driver as well. could it be the problem? the output on the 2xs is cranked (per instruction by shop), sub control on hu is halfway, gain on amp is 3/8 of the way up and the bass boost on amp ia all the way up. these settings(xcept the 2xs) are the same i've always had and never had a problem.
so what gives? thnx ahead of time!!
