Cell Phone Earphones?

Hey all. Well I have a Motorolla Razor V3XX and recently got the stuff to use it as a MP3 player. But the earphones I got sound terrible! Is this the phones abilities or the speakers? They are Motorola Earphones. If its the speakers problem, any ideas on a good counding set? Obviously the speakers need to connect with a fire wire.

Most MP3 players (including the allmighty iPod) ship with the cheapest earbuds they can get away with.

A good set can run from $30 up to $500.

Its the phone. I got the blackjack and the sq is so terrible its no even worth bothering. I also wouldn't waste too much money on good headphones for a phone. When i use my phillips or shures with my phone they start to heat up rapidly. I believe this is due to a clipped signal. Not worth it at all.

iPod's actually come with fairly decent headphones.
