How awful is it to fit 6.7s into a 6.5? I'd imagine not awful. But I don't want to ruin my door because I'm a moron. So to put it this way. Could a moron install 6.7s into a 6.5 without making their door look like a cheese grater tried eating it?

You need to have space to put in an adapter that has the right cutout diameter. One way I've done this is with an MDF baffle which I opened up at an angle to perfectly clear the basket. I don't like using MDF in doors though, and I might be able to get you weatherproof PVC adapters. Let me know what vehicle these would be going into and I will look into it for you.

It would be a 2008 Scion xB. Much appreciated, thanks in advance.

I have a pair of these adapters for which I requested a cutout diameter to fit the CDT HD-6EX 6.5" coaxials: PVC Speaker Adapters - CNC Machined - In Stock or Custom Made

I'm comfortable recommending these for the HD-6CF 6.5" woofers, or HD-6MO. I'm using the MO woofers and they're awesome. Any of the 6.7" woofers, such as HD-M6 or HD-6, will require a different adapter.
