I just got the new Alpine CDA 9835 installed and I love it. This thing is badass. Don't believe what the stats say on paper this thing does all that and then some.

There is no head unit on the market that has a better display than this thing.

The only down fall to it is that is that it is going to take some work to tune this thing.

How much did you pay for it? I really want the 9835 because of its features and the fact that you can change the display/button color to match your stock system...is the $550 asking price justifiable? Paying $250 for features over a 9813 seems a bit steep, especially if I just want a pretty display and color matching...I thought they both sound relatively equal in quality...do you have any input?

Try ebay, I got it for brand new for $450 plus 20 for shipping. You can also go to there site, http://www.procarsond.com

I think that jus the display itself is worth it. They are alot of little nic nac stuff that the radio can do that the 9813 can't.

As far as the main stuff both have the bass engine pro so they are equal in that aspect.

I picked it up for $420 from a local authorized dealer, I live in a major metropolitan area so it's easier to shop around and get price matches to get the best price. IMO the 9835 is leaps and bounds ahead of the 9813 or 9833. I bought the 9833 first and had it for about two weeks, it was a really cool hu. Then I went down to the dealer when the 9835 came in and started playing around with it, I immediately sold my 9833 and bought a 9835. The screen and menu's alone are worth the price difference, if you can snag one for a good price locally I highly recommend that you do.

It works pretty well, the only problem I have with it is that you can't change the illumination of all the buttons only the big ones. You can change the other buttons between amber and green but the big buttons you can toy with until you get the color you want.

hmmmm, i think i'd rather go with an eclipse 8053....better SQ features. 16v pre-outs, nice display. But, i was really interested in the alpine...only 4v PEAK pre-outs @300ohms...while eclipse is 8v/16v @60ohms. GLAD u like it, it looks slick. peace

Yeah, but you'll pay for those features.

So you have to buy the h/u and the balanced line converter. And I could have never got the eclipse for the price I got the alpine. Either way, you'll be happy.

i just got my 9835 installed yesterday.......i didnt even upgrade my factory speakers yet and this **** is like WHOA.....made my car almost sound like i had a system already...this is my first alpine deck....previously i had sony mobie es and premier.....this is already better but definitely more complicated to use
