sounds internal for sure i would prolly suggest buying new because the way cdplayers are now its almost cheaper to buy new than repair..and even if u fix it you still have a used cd player unless its a 450 dollar one i would get new

someone i know had the same problem and he just cleaned out his cd player with one of those kits and it worked just fine.

welp i work with "defects" daily and i would say 1 out of 10 a "cleaning" kit would help..........to propperly clean a cd player you need to have it taken apart...aka professionally cleaned by the manufacture or a "like" place..also if the tracking is off it costs at least 60 bucks usually

Which aiwa deck is it that you are having problems with?

I ahve the AIWA CDC-MP3, and i get some weird **** goin down soemtimes too...

i have had the player for a little shy of a year and twice now, it has jsut decided to not play CD's, lol.

Then, in the morning, when i go to take it to the shop that does my work, it works fine again.... i think i t just needs time to think, lol.

so yeah, anyways, which deck is it?

what model is your cd player? i was wondering because if you didnt get it fixed i have a cdc-x217 with out the face plate and if thats the same model as yours i would either buy your face if you would sell it or sell you my deck, my email is shorstuff_123_99@yahoo.com if you are interested write me.

There's a spring inside the head unit, towards the right side, back towards the rear. It holds the top plate down when a CD's in. It becomes dislodged very easily. If it's not where it should be, it will whirr and rattle like hell and then spit the CD back out.

By the way my CDC-X217 has just decided not to play CDs. It ****ing blows, it's a brand new (to me, got it used) unit. I'm mad. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif
