I am looking to buy a truck or hatchback pretty soon and I want something that is easy to install car audio.
This means much depth for speakers and easy to put in the head unit, etc. Car can be new or used.
I tried building door pods and they turned out okay. I'd rather have something I could just add a strong baffle and screw in...something like 3" - 4" deep or something.
Any suggestions?
Chevy Blazer or GMC Jimmy, they are pretty easy to install in, even I can do it.
chevy s10 or obs silverado
as stated, Blazer/Jimmy
Here are a few pics I found on the S10 site I posted them on last year. Not super high quality but you get the idea:
The last pic is of the box in the bed before I had the spray in bedliner done. It ended up being all black so you couldn't really tell what it was... just looked like a fuel cell or utility box. My buddy owns a sign shop, so we put an Alpine logo through his wireless table router and had it cut out of plexi, and used that over the front of the subs.
The S-10 does not have 3-4" mounting depth for mids. It just doesn't. Please read his thread. The curvature of the door doesn't really provide for a simple bolt-in experience.crx or s-10 extended cab, best vehicles for car audio...
